Bavaria 51 cruiser is a very powerful yacht that loves stronger winds, when she can reach high speeds and still glide so smoothly and effortlessly. Some of her usually praised features are the sandwich construction of hull and the ingenious rib system, completely channeling the weight from the rigging and the keel. She has a large hull with wide stern, a twin rudder system, easy handling winches, a bigger sail area with shorter genoa to avoid overlapping, and extra stability and storage space achieved by placing tanks at the bottom of the hull.
The layout is also very functional, with 5 cabins and 3 heads plus an additional shower. The 4 cabins have double beds and 1 has a bunk bed, one of the aft double cabins has an en suite head, while the remaining 4 cabins share two heads.
