Three day sail in may

Great pre-season team building Three day sail in may

Our small but united Sailsfaction team decided to make a team-bulding before intense sailing season, and used couple of days of settled weather in otherwise very rainy and cold may of 2019.  Our Bavaria 49 was ready and so were we.....

We planned to spend 2 nights on Vis so we headed straight there.  On the way we had W wind , around 10-15 knots so we had enjoyable sail all the way to gate of Split (passage between islands Brač and Šolta).

When we passed through, the wind totally died down so we motored all the way to the bay of Vlaka on Pakleni islands, where we had a lunch stop... Vlaka is one of the bays on the N side of Saint Klement, largest island in the Pakleni archipelago.

For us, very important spot, since it's never too crowded and culinary heaven  of Perina and her father Tonči- called Fisherman's house.  More info about their restaurant and bed & breakfast http://www.pension-tonci.com/  We payed  a visit and had a coffee with them . It is always nice to come in the oasis of peace in the middle of very busy area of Pakleni islands.

Soline bay and Vis island in the distance

When we came back to the boat it was time to leave towards Vis. Unfortunately there was no any wind we could use, so we motored all the way to Rogačić bay on Vis. That bay is mostly known for military tunnel that was used by JNA army in ex-Yugoslavia. These days it's mostly used by tourist guides who take their groups here and show them around.

Still it's not busy time of year so we decided to come here and berth inside for the night. Otherwise , in the summer this is not the place to come if you want peace and quiet. We didn't really do much for next 48 hours and that was why we came. They bay Rogačić has no cellular reception so we could totally switch off and relax.

Spear fishing was one of the reasons to come, and this time was quite successful, 3 kg of fish and 4 kg of octopus came to our table on the second night, it's hard to describe what a feast that was....

Soon it's going to be very busy everywhere so fish will more harder to find...This was one of the last chances for good fishing and relax before crazy summer period. We were happy to use it....Next time in september and october we will do the same for sure....
